I don’t know about yours, but my favorite add-ons are definitely Genesis and Exodus. Let’s see some fun facts about those.
Genesis, the first add-on
The most famous add-on from Lambda. Genesis is comes from Ancient Greek and means “creation, beginning, origin”. It allows user to stream media from DDL sites. It has been running for quite a while, but is no longer maintained and should no longer be used. It looks like to me it was a first shot from the author at this sort of “third party add-ons”, hence the name.
Exodus, one of my favorite add-ons
Now, Exodus from Latin and Ancient Greek, means “expedition, procession, departure“. We want to extrapolate (and we do), we can see in this plugin a new start, and not an easy one. After all the trouble Genesis brought, one had to start over and do something new. This is exactly what Lambda, the developer behind those add-ons, did. He started a whole new streaming add-on based on Genesis, but with a new purpose in mind, and different features.
Lambda, the author
Finally, Lambda, also comes from Ancient Greek and represents “The eleventh letter of the Classical and Modern Greek alphabet, the twelfth of the Old Greek alphabet”. I’ll let you guess how this letter looks. Hint : do you see the big picture?
Once again, we have a Greek name in our add-on’s developer, nothing really strange here since he seems to come from Athens, in Greece, as his profile attests.
